The Payter P68 is the most powerful member of the P6 product family and offers a key enhancement over the P66: In addition to Contactless NFC transactions (Tap), it also supports chip/contact transactions (Dip) and Magnetic Stripe (Swipe)—making it a complete 3-in-1 terminal for all common card types. Credit cards, debit cards, and a wide range of magnetic stripe-based loyalty cards are accepted, as are Contactless cards and smartphones. With its distinctive curved design (“P68 “The Arc”) and robust construction, the P68 is the ideal solution for vending machines, car washes, Parking Meters, EV charging stations, and other unattended environments where maximum payment flexibility is required.

3-in-1: NFC, chip, and Magnetic Stripe—all cards, all customers

As the only member of the P6 family, the P68 supports all three traditional payment technologies in a single device: Contactless NFC transactions via card or smartphone (tap), chip/contact transactions (dip/EMV), and Magnetic Stripe transactions (swipe) as a fallback solution. This ensures that no customer is turned away at the register—regardless of card type or smartphone capabilities.

Loyalty Integration: Loyalty Cards with Magnetic Stripes

Of particular note is its support for a wide range of magnetic stripe-based loyalty cards. This allows operators to offer their loyal customers discounts, points, and personalized benefits directly at the machine—without the need for additional hardware or app integration. The P68 is therefore not only a payment terminal but also a customer loyalty tool.

Robust construction, flexible installation

The P68 is designed as a fully standalone device (“Build-on-Top”) for mounting on or attached to existing machines. The elegant curved housing (“The Arc”) is also available in white and can optionally be equipped with a customer instruction panel. An OEM version for specific outdoor applications, such as car washes, EV charging stations, or Parking Meters, is also available.

Connectivity, Telemetry, and Remote Management

Like all P6 terminals, the P68 features a standard LAN connection as well as an optional integrated 3G/4G modem with a SIM card and service contract for a true Plug and Play solution. Supported protocols: MDB Level 3, EVA DTS, CCI, Executive (via VendBox), RS232, USB, and Pulse. The EVA DTS telemetry system enables remote monitoring of all deployed terminals. A SAM module for PCI-compliant, P2PE-secured, and offline transactions is integrated. The Payter SDK enables the development of custom applications on Windows, .NET, Linux, and Raspberry Pi.
