Contactless cards have long been standard in everyday business life—for building access, the cafeteria, and the parking garage. The Neowave Badgeo NFC FIDO2 now brings this simplicity to the digital world as well: As a purely Contactless NFC smart card in credit card format, it enables strong FIDO2 authentication without any cables or USB connections.
Purely Contactless NFC technology
The Badgeo NFC FIDO2 uses only contactless interfaces: ISO/IEC 14443-A (DESFire EV2/EV3) and, optionally, ISO 15693. Authentication is performed simply by holding the device near a compatible NFC reader or an NFC-enabled smartphone. No physical contact, no cables—maximum ease of use.
EAL6+ Security and FIDO Certification
At the heart of the card is a Java Card™ component certified to Common Criteria EAL6+. The FIDO2 and FIDO U2F applet is based on asymmetric cryptography (ECC P-256). The Private Key never leaves the card. The card is FIDO-certified and bears the “Cybersecurity Made in Europe” label as well as the “France Cyber Security” label.
FIDO2 and FIDO U2F – Comprehensive Service Support
Compatible with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Azure Active Directory for Passwordless Authentication. FIDO U2F can be used to secure online accounts with Gmail, Dropbox, Facebook, GitHub, WordPress, and many other services. Identity federation solutions (WebSSO) such as Office 365 and Zimbra are also supported. Browsers: Chrome, Chromium, Firefox, Edge, and others.
