The Feitian ePass FIDO-NFC Plus K9D is the most powerful model in the ePass NFC series. It combines the proven strengths of the ePass K9B— USB-A, NFC, FIDO2, FIDO U2F, and OTP —with two key additional features that make it suitable for demanding enterprise and government environments: PIV (Personal Identity Verification) and OpenPGP. PIV: Strong Authentication for Government Agencies and Regulated Industries

The integrated PIV (Personal Identity Verification) applet enables certificate-based authentication for logical and physical access—in accordance with the U.S. FIPS 201 standard for government employees and contractors. PIV credentials are used to access federal agencies, government networks, servers, and privileged systems and require a very high level of security. The K9D is also FIPS 140-2 Level 2 certified, which qualifies it for use in security-sensitive environments.

OpenPGP: Secure Email Encryption and Code Signing

In addition to PIV, the K9D supports the OpenPGP protocol, which is widely used for encrypting and digitally signing emails, as well as for signing software code.
