Feitian ePass K39 – The USB-C Security Key for FIDO2, FIDO U2F, and OTP on modern devices

The Feitian ePass K39 is the USB-C counterpart to the tried-and-true ePass A4B: a FIDO2 and FIDO U2F-certified Security Key with a USB Type-C connector for anyone who relies on modern laptops, MacBooks, tablets, or smartphones without a USB-A port. It combines the same robust security of the A4B with the universal USB-C Interface—no adapters, no hassle.

USB-C: The Future-Proof Interface

More and more devices—from MacBooks and Dell XPS models up to modern Windows laptops and tablets—feature USB-C ports exclusively or primarily. The K39 is designed specifically for this generation of devices. It plugs directly into the USB-C port and works right away—as a standard HID device without requiring any drivers or software installation. Compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux.

FIDO2, FIDO U2F, and OTP—the same range of protocols as the A4B

The K39 supports FIDO2 for passwordless authentication, FIDO U2F for Two-Factor Authentication, and HOTP and TOTP for existing OTP-based systems. The integrated smart card secure element (SHA-256, ECDSA P-256) protects all stored login credentials. Site-specific keys prevent the sharing of secrets between services and render phishing and man-in-the-middle attacks ineffective. GIDS is also supported.

Broad service compatibility without limits

The K39 works with all FIDO-compatible services: Gmail, GitHub, Dropbox, Facebook, Microsoft Azure Entra ID, OKTA, Ping Identity, Salesforce, DUO Security, Bank of America, Coinbase, and many more. The unlimited number of accounts that can be registered makes it the ideal solution for users who use many online services.

Compact, sturdy, and key-shaped

Like the A4B, the K39 features a slim, key-like design that fits easily on a keychain. The LED and push button provide simple status feedback and enable user interaction. The key is durable and robust thanks to its injection-molded housing. Operating temperature: –10 °C to / up to +60 °C; data retention: 10 years.

Who is the Feitian K39 suitable for?

Users of modern devices with USB-C ports who need the same FIDO2 security as the A4B but do not want to use a USB-A adapter—as well as companies that want to equip both USB-A and USB-C devices with a unified key generation process.
