If you want to authenticate securely on both your PC and your smartphone, you’ll need a key with two communication channels. The Feitian ePass FIDO-NFC K9B combines USB-A and NFC in a single, compact device—for seamless, strong authentication across all platforms, without the need for separate NFC keys for mobile use.

NFC and USB: Two Ways, One Key

The K9B can be used with PCs and laptops via its USB-A port, while its built-in NFC module allows it to be used with smartphones, tablets, and other NFC-enabled devices—without any physical connection. This makes it ideal for environments where employees switch between desktop and mobile devices on a daily basis. It is recognized as a standard HID device and requires neither drivers nor client software.

FIDO2, FIDO U2F, and OTP – comprehensive protocol support

The K9B supports FIDO2 for Passwordless authentication, FIDO U2F for Two-Factor Authentication, and HOTP and TOTP for legacy systems. The integrated JavaCard operating system with a smart card secure element (SHA-256, ECDSA P-256) provides a robust cryptographic foundation. Site-specific keys provide reliable protection against phishing and man-in-the-middle attacks. The number of accounts that can be registered is unlimited.

Wide compatibility across all platforms

The K9B works on Windows, macOS, and Linux with all major browsers. It is also compatible with Android devices with NFC. Supported services: Gmail, Facebook, Dropbox, GitHub, Microsoft Azure Entra ID, OKTA, Ping Identity, Salesforce, DUO Security, Coinbase, Bank of America, and all other FIDO-compatible services. Services that do not yet offer FIDO are also supported via HOTP/TOTP.

Sturdy construction, proven design

The K9B is compact, key-shaped, and designed for everyday use. The injection-molded housing protects the internal components. An LED and pushbutton provide easy status indication and operation. Operating temperature: –10 °C to +60 °C. Fully customizable in terms of housing design, color, and engraving for Enterprise Deployment.
