It combines passwordless FIDO2 (CTAP 2.1) authentication, FIDO U2F, and an eIDAS QSCD- certified PKI applet in a single, future-proof USB-C key—for anyone who wants to combine the highest level of security with modern interface technology.

Thanks to its universal USB-C port, the Winkeo2J-C FIDO2 + QSCD is ideal for modern laptops, tablets, and workstations without the need for adapters. For the QSCD (qualified electronic signature) function, it is supported on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS—an exceptionally broad range of compatibility for a QSCD device. The FIDO2 function is available on Windows.

Legally valid qualified signature under eIDAS

The integrated eIDAS-QSCD-PKI applet enables qualified electronic signatures, which, under European law, replace handwritten signatures. The signature guarantees the authenticity of the signer, the integrity of the signed document, and non-repudiation—in compliance with eIDAS, PSD2, and all European signature standards. The AET SafeSign Identity Client (CSP/KSP/PKCS#11) middleware ensures seamless integration into existing PKI infrastructures.

EAL6+ smart card with comprehensive cryptography

The integrated contact smart card (ISO 7816, JCOP4) is certified to Common Criteria EAL6+. The QSCD applet supports RSA 2048, 3072, and 4096 bits, as well as ECC P-256, P-384, and P-521. The FIDO2 applet offers all CTAP 2.1 features: Enterprise Attestation, credProtect, hmac-secret, largeBlobs, PIN protocols 1 and 2, and specific PIN policies. The Private Key never leaves the device.

Passwordless Authentication and broad service compatibility

Natively compatible with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Entra ID for Passwordless Windows login. FIDO U2F can be used to secure over 250 online services (Gmail, PayPal, Dropbox, OVH, WordPress) and identity federations (Evidian, Ilex, OKTA, Ping Identity).
