Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) doesn’t have to be complicated. The Feitian VC200E is an OATH-compliant TOTP display card in full credit card format that shows users a valid one-time code directly on the built-in EPD (E-Ink) display at any time—no smartphone, no app, and no software installation required. Just slip it into your wallet and glance at the card when needed.

TOTP with an E-Ink display: Energy-efficient and easy to read

At the heart of the VC200E is an integrated EPD (Electronic Paper Display / E-Ink) display that shows the current 6-digit TOTP code. E-Ink displays are characterized by extremely low power consumption, excellent readability in daylight, and an eye-friendly, flicker-free image. The OTP code automatically refreshes every 60 seconds according to the HMAC-SHA1 algorithm and is fully OATH-compliant —the international standard for one-time passwords. The integrated flexible battery is designed to last 3 to 5 years.

No software, no hassle – Zero Footprint

The VC200E requires no software installation on the user’s device. It operates completely independently: Simply take the card out of your wallet, read the code displayed on it, and enter it when logging in. This makes it the ideal 2FA solution for all users who lack technical knowledge, as well as for companies seeking to minimize IT effort when implementing strong Two-Factor Authentication.

Seed Reprogramming for Maximum Security

For companies with heightened security requirements, the VC200E offers the option to reprogram the seed using the Feitian Seed Programmer. This allows the cryptographic seed (the secret key) to be renewed or set individually as needed—an important advantage over solutions in which the seed is hard-coded and cannot be changed.

Ruggedness in accordance with IP68 and ISO 7810

The VC200E is dust- and water-resistant to IP68 standards—it can even withstand being accidentally washed in a pants pocket. Its dynamic flexural and torsional strength meets the bank card testing standard: 500 flexing cycles along the long side and 500 along the short side, in each case without any loss of function or surface cracks. Operating temperature: 0 °C to / up to +50 °C. Dimensions: 85.6 × 54 × 0.84 mm —exactly the standard credit card size per ISO 7810.

Compatible Services and Platforms

The VC200E is compatible with Microsoft Azure MFA (cloud and on-premises), the Feitian OTP Authentication Server, Entrust Identity Guard, Sophos Firewall (version 9.2 and later), SafeNet Authentication Service, LinOTP (KeyIdentify), and MicroFocus (netIQ). The seed files are delivered via encrypted email after the order is placed.
